teCharlotte Samco, the wife of Johnny Crawford, the actor famous for his role on the original Mickey Mouse Club in the 1950’s and his starring role on the Gunslinger television series from 1959 to 1963, died in two separate accidents on Thursday.

That was the year. At age 75, following the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s and a recent victory over Covid-19.

In 1995, actor Johnny Crawford remarried Charlotte Samco, his longtime girlfriend, after having divorced his first wife Cindy. In addition, he had been in a romantic relationship with Charlotte for several years prior to exchanging vows with her in 1995. It turns out, Charlotte was his high school love, who he had dated in his younger days.

They were a high school sweethearts, but split up after some time. However, they reconciled years later and in 1990, they rediscovered their love for each other.

After a lot of investigative work we are not able to determine much about the status of Charlotte’s children. Charlotte talked very little about her family with the exception of Johnny.

He survived by his wife, brother, and tens of thousands of fans. She never revealed her married name or said anything about any children she may have had. If she has any living relatives they have been kept out of the spotlight.

We know that she is the youngest daughter of an Italian immigrant who was born in Sicily. Her father was an engineer who graduated from the University of Palermo in Italy.

They moved to Australia after World War II where he found employment as an industrial engineer at BHP Steelworks in Newcastle. In 1957, the year she turned two years old, Charlotte was diagnosed with osteogenic sarcoma (bone cancer).

The tumor metastasized quickly throughout her body. Doctors told her parents there was no cure for their daughter’s cancer and advised them to seek palliative care while they still could. But they refused to give up on their child without a fight.
