We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Manager, Consumer Products & Solutions, WA

Location: Lagos

Key Responsibilities
Act as an expert for their geography/solution portfolio:

  • Ensure products strategy is implemented in close alignment to market objectives and deliver product launches and success.
  • The candidate will align the regional & global product development organization with the in-market account management, merchant management and operations teams to deliver on performance indicators.
  • The candidate will be required to  demonstrate initiative and ownership as an individual contributor, raise the bar and challenge the boundaries to make payments safer and more convenient for our market.
  • Bring their deep knowledge of products, services or platform capabilities to a solution-selling environment
  • Accountable for having a deep understanding of the assigned product, service or platform
  • Provide visibility to the CSCL and SA on latest product developments within their purview and communicate accurate solution knowledge to tackle client opportunities
  • Proactively monitor and engage with customers to ensure customer success and benefit from Mastercard’s products and solutions
  • Support CSC value proposition development and sale:
  • Provide the Solution Architects (SA) and the Customer Solution Center Lead (CSCL) with their solution expertise in crafting the value proposition
  • Coordinate with the help of SA and CSCL, with other sales specialists in developing an end-to-end value proposition
  • Provide their expertise and deep knowledge of product implementation and success with clients during solution selling process (upon the request of the CSCL or AM/BD)
  • Drive localization, market enablement and support sales:
  • Enabling new capabilities in the market and ensuring market readiness
  • Supporting AM’s in their market to optimize what we have today e.g. providing expert advice/ guidance on product penetration for an existing relationship
  • Work directly with client counterparts on non-complex, one solution focused opportunities when the AM needs their support

Knowledge and Best Practice Sharing:

  • Share information on latest customer needs and opportunities as well as relevant market intelligence with the product management teams to drive smart solutioning internally within MA
  • Share best practices and knowledge with other SSs to improve solutioning of their product, service, or platform within client contexts
  • Note: Senior Products and Solutions roles in large CSCs may manage a team.

Required Skills

  • Deep technical expertise in assigned product, service or platform capability
  • Ability to collaborate and work on internal squads created to develop end-to-end solutions for clients with multiple MA capabilities i.e. products, services or platforms
  • Clear ability to problem solve and understand relationship with the client’s needs
  • Ability to communicate with and build relationship with client counterparts when requested by account managers or business development managers

2.) Country Program Head

  • Scan the horizon for innovative approaches to support delivery of Young Africa Works roadmap; conceptualize translation opportunities in collaboration with Country program staff.
  • Manage the process for negotiating and formalizing new programs.
  • Coordinate review and follow up to expression of interests (EoI), concept notes, and proposals – provide clear, concise, and insightful written analyses and recommendations.
  • As a key advisor to the Country Director, contribute to the continued evolution of the Country Road map; organize annual/periodic reviews of the roadmap.

  • Draft sections of key documents, reports, and presentations for a variety of purposes and audiences, summarizing developments and lessons learned from country programs.
  • Support and ensure country program team are providing technical and oversite support to partners on the ground.
  • Lead an effective knowledge management approach, which includes documenting the evolution of the roadmap and helping to surface and frame lessons learned for incorporation in future strategic choices.
  • Lead Team to deliver high quality interactions and clear and consistent communications with stakeholders and partners, including site visits, providing strategic thought partnership, joint planning, coordination and convening meetings of key stakeholders.
  • Represent the Foundation to key program-related external stakeholders, in forums related to Foundation’s areas of work.

Who You Are

  • At least 15 years of progressive experience in strategic planning, sustainable development policy, project/program management, or resource management.
  • At least 12 years of experience in managing multi-sectoral projects and partnership development in livelihoods, agricultural development (i.e., crops, livestock, and agribusiness programming), food security, market-based approaches to economic development, climate change, financial inclusion (especially in MSME finance), and related programs.
  • A minimum of 10 years of management experience at a senior level in a comparable international organization or working on donor-funded mechanisms, with strong leadership ability, as well as experience managing large multicultural teams at country or regional level.
  • Advanced University Degree (MBA / Master’s or equivalent Degree) in Business or Public Administration, Project Management, Public Policy, Sustainable Development, Social Sciences, or related areas is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with host governments, donors, private sector stakeholders, local organizations, and partners.
  • Prior experience working in sub-Saharan Africa, with appreciable knowledge of Nigeria’s political and social development context.
  • Experience applying design thinking approaches to programming and innovation.
  • Demonstrated financial management experience including preparation and management of budgets in a development context.
  • Ability to think and work in an integrated and holistic way, keeping the Mastercard Foundation’s Young Africa Works strategy at the center.
  • Ability to apply execution techniques including agile methodologies and strong Project management skills that ensure the delivery of work.
  • Experience and ability to effectively engage and manage relationships with senior external stakeholders, particularly implementing partners and governments.
  • Possess excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to articulate information to a variety of constituents across cultures.

3.) Associate Managing Consultant, Advisor

Location: Lagos

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or Master’s Degree and at least 3–5 years of work experience after completing your undergraduate degree
  • Experience in a consulting organization as a consultant
  • Experience directly managing multiple people across multiple workstreams
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills and ability to structure analyses to form data-driven solutions to ambiguous client challenges
  • Exposure specifically in payments and / or retail banking or merchants preferred

4.) Finance Lead, Strategic Programs

Location: Nigeria

Who You Are

  • Full Accounting qualification with a minimum of 10 years in progressively senior financial roles within large and/or global organizations, leading significantly large budgets and scope of financial responsibility.
  • Senior leadership experience that spans multiple territories/countries, cutting across various thematic areas in private, development sector and public environments.
  • At least 7 years’ experience in a management capacity, leading finance, and teams of multiple technical competencies.
  • Experience managing and building capabilities and capacity of accounting and operations teams in high growth organizations including supporting expansion in multi-jurisdictional and multi-currency environments.
