1.) Underwriter – Corporate

Location: Lagos

Key Result Areas
Underwriting Processing:

  • Follows standardized processes and provides underwriting support in line with normal business functioning.
  • Delivers on daily production standards.
  • Collates statistical information in predetermined formats.
  • Integrates data into daily, weekly and monthly reports.

Personal Effectiveness:

  • Accountable for service delivery through own efforts.
  • Individually accountable for managing own time, tasks and output quality.
  • Documentation Processing
  • Makes increased contributions by broadening individual skills.
  • Collaborates effectively with others to achieve personal results.
  • Accepts and lives the company values.

Quality Assurance:

  • Performs quality checks on own work.
  • Adheres to service and quality standards

Qualifications and Experience

  • A First Degree or its equivalent.
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc)
  • Good communication skills,
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office suite
  • Technical/insurance product knowledge (added advantage)

2.) Legal Officer (OMGICNL)

Location: Lagos

Job Description
Key Focus:

  • This role is responsible for providing support from a legal perspective and works under direct supervision

Key Result Areas
Legal:

  • Product Support
  • Specialist legal role providing product support from a legal perspective.
  • Drafts contracts, applications Provides legal opinions/comments on legislation
  • Advises and trains others regarding legislation & industry changes.
  • Researches applicable legal principles & applies them to the facts.
  • Provides legal advice.
  • Assesses environment, picks up on trends & patterns & makes recommendations to the business.
  • Provides legal compliance support.
  • Provides relevant support to the Corporate Governance team as required by the department head (including supporting in Compliance initiatives and regulatory requirements)

Corporate Secretarial:

  • Assists in the organisation & administration of the meetings, production of accurate minutes & resolutions.
  • Provides company secretarial assistance and other assistance as required
  • Administers Shares.
  • General filing and e-mails.
  • Provides assistance to management if required.
  • Undertakes all administration related to meetings.
  • Undertakes and executes company administration.

3.) Lead Business Analyst

Location: Lagos

Key Result Areas
Business Analyst:

  • Analyses past, present and future business environment.
  • Analyses business processes to determine problems, risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Reviews processes and conducts process audits, as required.
  • Contributes to the design of new business processes.
  • Works with managers and relevant users on feasibility studies and establishing business and systems requirements
  • Contributes to strategies and guidelines to improve the business environment.
  • Provides input to management (both IT and business) on business procedures and policies.

Personal Effectiveness:

  • Accountable for service delivery through own efforts.
  • individually accountable for managing own time, tasks and output quality for periods of 1 day to a maximum of 3 months (if Low 1). 3 – 6 months
  • Collaborates effectively with others to achieve personal results.

Accountabilities
Solution Design & Implementation:

  • Works closely with the Business Analyst, Systems Analyst and Project Manager to design and implement the best possible automated solution within the constraints of the tools available.
  • Owns systems, user acceptance testing and implementation of changes or new applications.

Specifications Development:

  • Investigates and defines requirements for business processes.
  • Provides input to the documentation of requirements including data modelling, interface layouts, data flows, screen and report layouts, etc.

User Support:

  • Contributes in sessions for end-users, including training.

System Testing:

  • Tests systems and user acceptance and implements changes or new applications.
  • Ensures all testing protocols are adhered to.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A First Degree or its equivalent in a relevant field. (Master’s Degree is an advantage)
  • 3 to 8 years experience in business apps & exposure to IT functions. Experienced in business and data analysis, solutions design & testing, data modelling
  • Relevant industry experience is required
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good Excel and PowerPoint skills.
